About Dragonfly Garden Care
My story
In 2005, our 14-year-old daughter Emilie passed away, leading to an outpouring of memorial plants. Collaborating with a landscape designer, we crafted Emilie's memory garden. Over the years, this garden became my solace through the ebbs and flows of grief. Its changing seasons mirrored my journey, offering resilience and connection to life's enduring cycles. Unfortunately, leaving that home meant leaving the garden behind, and townhome living doesn't afford the same opportunity to recreate that sacred space. That is why I started Dragonfly Garden Care, to offer help in cultivating and maintaining gardens for others.
My Services
Dragonfly Garden Care serves Fort Collins and surrounding areas, and specializes in maintaining flowerbeds and landscaping, assisting homeowners in plant selection for their garden areas and planting annuals in outdoor pots. I prefer to use organic products when possible. My standard fee is $40/hour.

As the heart of Dragonfly Garden Care, my skills and knowledge come from growing up on a hobby farm. My mom would send me out to weed in the garden and like most kids, I hated it. Years later, as an adult with my own home and garden spaces, I understood the value of not only gardening for food, but beautifying the landscape surrounding my home. My parents have been gracious in answering my questions over the years and they have found the humor in my adult gardening interest. Though Colorado landscaping plants are much different from those grown in Minnesota, I am dedicated to providing your garden space with the tender loving care it deserves.

Meet Emilie, the soul and inspiration behind Dragonfly Garden Care. Her spirit continuously nudges me to explore new avenues. My "Trust Your Struggle" tattoo, shared with her dad and two brothers, has been my source of strength, helping me overcome challenges and embark on the journey of starting Dragonfly Garden Care.
